My name is Michelle Wood and I am a real estate paralegal-turned-handbag designer. I started my own online funky handbag business, Lil’ Diva , back in 2003 and am still doing it today.
I also happen to be a huge animal lover (ask anyone who knows me), and I wanted to share my passion for animals with all the other pet fanatics out there.
The beautiful face you see up in the header is my beloved 12.5 year old shepherd/husky mix, Nikki. She was diagnosed with Cushing’s Disease this past July 2007, and is doing quite well with her treatment so far.
I never knew this nasty disease existed, and while there is no cure, it is very treatable. I wanted to share her story with the hope that I might be able to educate people about this common disease (which, unfortunately, many vets know nothing about).
I also hope to use this site to educate people about animal issues (both negative and positive) out there and to teach others about treating our furry friends with the utmost respect and love, because they deserve nothing less for all the joy and unconditional love they give us!
